Topo Athletic was founded by Tony Post, whose footwear career began at Rockport before he rose to become CEO of Vibram USA. Frustrated by the problems he saw in mainstream running footwear, Tony set out to build shoes that solved them from the ground up. Topo  trail running shoes are built around three core principles: a wide toe box that allows the foot to splay naturally, a low drop that encourages a more natural running gait, and robust construction that holds up across long miles on technical terrain.
